Since I moved our family blog to StinkyMouse.com our past entries are split at a point in time between multiple sites. I have moved some of the older entries to our new site, but there are still many to go. To celebrate Shen's upcoming Adoption Day Anniversary I am reposting the entries from our trip to China when we adopted him in 2007. After I finish re-entering all the entries I will go back and change the dates on them to 2007, but for the next couple weeks the blog will be a "real-time" re-creation of our trip two years ago.
One technical problem with this is the handling of the original blog comments. If I were an advanced HTML wizard with unlimited time I could probably do it perfectly, but I've come up with a pretty good work around and will post a link to the original comments in each entry. For me, reading all the beautiful things people wrote to us while we were traveling is the best part so it's important to me to not lose these precious thoughts from others.

July 4th Weekend
We had a great holiday weekend with my mom and my sister's family. We got to use the swimming pools at Grandma's condo complex and the boys really enjoyed it. They are getting much more confident in the water, and it was so nice having such a nice pool to cool off in as we had amazing hot weather!

Grandma also got out the trimmers and gave the boys summer buzzcuts...

We spent the evening of the 4th watching the fireworks all the neighbors were setting off. My sister and brother-in-law's house has a nice little view of Lake Goodwin and there were people setting off huge arial displays over the water. We had some sparklers for the boys and I took some pictures with the "fireworks" setting on our camera...
